TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) displayed all the 163 diamonds that were donated by an anonymous devotee in Srivari temple hundi on Friday. In all, there were 79 varieties of diamonds estimated to be worth around Rs 1,03 82,000.TTD EO LV Subramanyam said they were exploring the possibility and feasibility of displaying gold and diamond jewellery of Lord Venkateswara at Sri Venkateswara Museum in Tirumala for the benefit of pilgrims. It may be recalled that efforts were made to display the precious crowns, diamond and gold jewellery of the Lord during the Brahmotsavams in 2008.However, the proposal was shelved later on the grounds of security and safety of the antique and priceless ornaments.
