Manu Bhaker made India proud at the global level on Tuesday after she won a bronze medal in the women’s 10 m air pistol event at the Olympics 2024. She was teamed up with Sarabjot Singh in the bronze medal playoff match. While India celebrates their historic win, several Bollywood celebrities have also congratulated them.
On Tuesday afternoon, Anil Kapoor shared a post about the duo’s win on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “@bhakermanu @sarabjotsingh30 Another win for India!! Congratulations!!” Bhumi Pednekar also cheered for Manu and Sarabjot by saying, “Chak De!”
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X (Twitter) to congratulate them. “Our shooters continue to make us proud! Congratulations to @realmanubhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the Bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the #Olympics. Both of them have shown great skills and teamwork. India is incredibly delighted. For Manu, this is her second consecutive Olympic medal, showcasing her consistent excellence and dedication. #Cheer4Bharat,” the PM wrote.
Meanwhile, after becoming the first Indian female athlete and second overall to win multiple Olympic medals in a single edition, Manu expressed her happiness and said, “I’m feeling really proud and there is lot of gratitude, thanks for all the blessings and love.”
“Actually we can’t control (what the rivals will do), we can do what is in our hand, me and my partner thought let’s just try our best and we will keep fighting till the end. I really feel proud that I performed so well,” she added.
