Hina Khan recently opened up about her battle with stage 3 breast cancer, sharing that she is already undergoing treatment. The news came as a shock to her fans, friends and industry colleagues, many of whom were unaware of her condition. Gippy Grewal, her co-star in Shinda Shinda No Papa, expressed surprise when Hina revealed her diagnosis on Instagram. In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Gippy recalled immediately reaching out to Hina after hearing the news. She assured him that she was staying strong despite the difficulties. He also mentioned that during the promotions for their Punjabi film, Hina kept her illness private, even though she was in pain.
“We have a very good relationship with Hina, she’s very close to my wife as well, so they are also great friends, Gippy said, adding that she didn’t tell them when they were promoting the film. “I was shocked when I read the post myself. Later, I spoke with Hina, and she said she’s okay and doing well now. She is a very brave girl and it is difficult to have the kind of courage she has shown. When you talk to her, her strong demeanour gives you a boost.”
Actress Hina Khan revealed her battle with breast cancer earlier in June this year. In an Instagram post, the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ star wrote, “I have been diagnosed with Stage Three Breast Cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis. I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.”
She also encouraged her followers to share their personal experiences and supportive suggestions, adding, “Your personal experiences, anecdotes and supportive suggestions would mean the world to me as I navigate this journey. I, along with my family and loved ones, remain focused, determined and positive. With the grace of the Almighty, we believe I will overcome this challenge and be completely healthy.”
Despite her ongoing cancer treatment, Hina Khan recently mesmerised her fans by gracing the ramp in a breathtaking bridal outfit at a fashion week. She shared a video on Instagram capturing both her preparation and runway moment.
In the clip, Hina is seen getting ready, with stylists attending to her makeup and hair while she engages with the crew. Draped in a stunning red embroidered saree and adorned with traditional jewellery, Hina exudes regal charm as she takes the stage, greeting the audience with a warm namaste and blowing kisses while expressing her heartfelt thanks to everyone at the venue.
