Sonakshi Sinha Says Marrying Zaheer Iqbal Feels 'Like Being Home'

Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal caught everyone’s attention, even though it was a low-key celebration among friends and family. The dreamy photos and videos from their special day quickly touched many hearts. Shortly after registering their marriage, Sonakshi dove straight into promoting her new OTT release, Kakuda.

In a recent interview with ETimes, the Heeramandi actress shared details about her film and gave fans a rare glimpse into her personal life. She expressed that marrying Zaheer felt like coming home, as she now gets to spend more quality time with him. Sonakshi also mentioned that they have always been best friends and wished they had married sooner.

During the conversation, the actress was joined by her co-stars Riteish Deshmukh, Saqib Saleem and director Aditya Sarpotdar. Speaking to the portal, Sonakshi said, “I’m extremely happy because I think this I did something that I was waiting for a very long time and now I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. It does feel like being home finally. I enjoy spending time with Zaheer and we’re truly best friends, so I love being at work and then being with my own person, running back home and going to him. I wish it happened sooner but better late than never. It feels relieving, I feel so light.”

Sonakshi Sinha further shared that it feels great to be finally able to post pictures with her husband Zaheer Iqbal on social media. Before making their relationship official by getting married, the actress often felt like posting pictures on social media but couldn’t due to privacy reasons. Now, she’s thrilled to openly celebrate their union and share their moments with fans.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are currently enjoying their time together in the Philippines after finishing their work commitments. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sonakshi posted a picture from their stay and wrote, “Honeymoon round 2. Now just waiting Zaheer Iqbal to get here coz we had to take separate flights.” Zaheer responded with a sweet message, “Deewana on his way baby.”

Sonakshi Sinha’s path crossed with Zaheer Iqbal at a party hosted by Salman Khan in 2017 and their relationship quickly blossomed. After several years of dating, the two got married in a private ceremony on June 23. Meanwhile, Sonakshi entered the entertainment industry in 2010 and made her big Bollywood debut in Dabangg, while Zaheer was introduced in 2019 in Khan’s production, Notebook.
