Arjun Kapoor On His Box Office Failures On KWK 8: 'My Time Will Come'
"I shouldn’t get discouraged, and you cannot be complaining and cribbing," Arjun Kapoor said.

The most recent episode of Karan Johar’s talk show, Koffee with Karan Season 8, will feature Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Now as per the latest reports, the two actors delved into discussions about the highs and lows of their Bollywood journeys. Arjun Kapoor shared the ups and downs of his career, recounting the challenges he faced even after a strong debut with Ishaqzaade. Despite experiencing a series of box office disappointments, including his recent film, The Lady Killer, alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Kapoor opened up about his resilience and coping mechanisms amidst the unpredictable nature of the Bollywood industry.

In their conversation, Karan Johar brought attention to the contrast between public perceptions influenced by social media and the actual challenges of navigating the pressures of the box office. During the discussion with Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar acknowledged the presence of both success and failure in his own journey. Notably, he praised Arjun for his distinctive ability to retain a sense of humour even in the midst of facing failures in the industry.

In response to it, Arjun Kapoor said, “There is so much adversity I have faced in my entire life, I think I have spoken on this couch before about many aspects of my life. I also look at the positive, I had the opportunity. I am the first actor in my generation to deliver a 100 Crore film with Dharma and Sajid Nadiadwala that was 2 States. I have seen the high, I have done a film like Ki & Ka that did well. I have done all kinds of work, I have worked with so many people. Your selection can go wrong, the audience can change the way they feel about you.”

“Akshay Kumar has spoken so openly about the fact that he almost considered leaving the profession at one point of time, 11-12 flops I think he spoke about. When you look at Saif’s career, till Dil Chahta Hai didn’t happen, he was on a different trajectory. I’ve been part of films that didn’t pan out, I didn’t do that with the intent of making bad films, they just turned out not to be the best. You can’t control box office unfortunately. I’m patient my time will come, all the wrongs can get right on one Friday, I shouldn’t get discouraged, and you cannot be complaining and cribbing,” he added

Following the release of his recent film The Lady Killer alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Kapoor is set to star opposite Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi once again in a comedy-drama helmed by director Mudassar Aziz. Additionally, the actor is also expected to share the screen with Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh in an untitled film.
