Hyderabad: Former Congress MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will kick start his 'Odarpu Yatra' from Vishakhapatnam on Monday.
During the yatra, Jagan will console 18 families whose kin died of shock following the death of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, sources said.
But the local police have imposed restrictions on Reddy's yatra following a Maoist threat.
Jagan is expected to cover the 15 Assembly constituencies during his eight-day marathon tour.
The former MP would unveil about 100 statues of his late father during the yatra.
This is Jagan's first yatra after he quit as Congress Lok Sabha member and also from the party last month.
He has been extensively touring the Andhra Pradesh ever since he quit the Congress, to garner public support for the new political party that he plans to launch next month.
Defying the Congress high command, Jagan undertook the 'Odarpu Yatra' in West Godavari, Khammam, East Godavari, Srikakulam, Prakasam and Nellore districts.
