Mumbai: The activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Tuesday vandalised a cinema hall in Boisar in Thane. According to reports, the cinema hall was screening a Bihari film when the incident occurred.
This comes a day after a case was registered against MNS chief Raj Thackeray for his alleged hate speech against the people from Bihar.
The petitioner submitted that the people of Bihar felt insulted and their sentiments were hurt by Thackeray's recent speech in which he had described Mumbai-based Biharis as infiltrators and threatened to drive them out of the city.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also hit out at the MNS chief over the issue saying Raj Thackeray was publicity hungry and had nothing to do with democracy.
