New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Hyderabad House in the national capital on Tuesday. The two leaders will hold goodwill talks to build confidence among the two nations.
The meeting will take place despite protests from all Tamil allies including MDMK and PMK. On Monday, MDMK chief Vaiko was arrested for leading a protest in Delhi and defying prohibitory orders.
A few days ago before Rajapaksa's visit to India, Sri Lankan government released all arrested Tamil fishermen as a goodwill gesture.
The Sri Lankan President will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee in the afternoon.
Rajapaksa was in India to attend Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony as the 15th Prime Minister at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday.
