Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress has rejected the demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the killing of its student activist Sourav Chowdhury. The slain crusader's family had demanded an investigation by the CBI.
The party has instead pointed fingers at BJP workers over the crime.
The family had alleged that Chowdhury was beaten up and abducted by a group of men for protesting against liquor mafia.
One person was on Sunday arrested and three others detained in connection with the brutal murder. The main suspect however continues to be on the run.
