Windows 10 OS likely to be released in the end of July
Microsoft hasn't officially announced the release date of the latest version of its OS that is expected to bring in an overall design change along with a new Web browser- Project Spartan.

New Delhi: Microsoft's highly-awaited Windows 10 OS will be released towards the end of July, the company's OEM executive has revealed.

Microsoft's hardware partner, AMD, reported a loss of $180 million in its first quarter, but president and CEO, Lisa Su believes that the release of the latest operating system could help heal the losses which were caused largely due to a down market for PCs and notebooks.

A Redmond Channel Partner report notes that so far Microsoft hasn't officially announced the release date of the latest version of its ubiquitous operating system that is expected to bring in an overall design change along with a new Web browser- Project Spartan.

Microsoft had announced earlier that the new OS will be rolled out in summer but gave no specific release date. However, 'the end of July' release date as revealed by Su could be the 'release-to-manufacturing' date, which is when Microsoft's hardware partners get the OS to be installed on machines, and not the larger consumer roll out date.

Windows 10 OS is currently under preview test stage and recently Microsoft released a second preview build of Windows 10 for phones, which includes an early version of the new Spartan browser, as well as a Maps preview.
