Arshiya Sharma from Jammu and Kashmir left a lasting impression worldwide when she stunned with her eerie dance performance on a popular talent show, America’s Got Talent. Hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, the 13-year-old’s performance on the 19th season of the show soon became a viral sensation, sparking widespread praise and admiration.
In the viral video, Arshiya confidently introduces herself to the judges of the show – Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara. She told them that she was from Jammu and Kashmir. When asked about her performance, Arshiya said, “I am a dancer, but I don’t want to be like others. I want to be different. So, I tried doing gymnastics and adding some flexible moves into my dance to be different,” she said. She also shared that this is the first time she left India.
Simon questioned Arshiya if she was nervous about her performance. To which, Arshiya replied, “Yes, because America’s Got Talent is a big thing, so I can’t keep it in my stomach. I am very excited.”
As she excused herself to prepare for her dance routine, a small wooden house surrounded by dolls appeared on stage. Audiences and judges who were anticipating her performance were left in shock when Arshiya re-emerged in a totally different avatar. Dressed in torn clothes, white contact lenses and fake blood all over, Arshiya delivered horrifying dance moves. With bone-crunching sound effects, she twisted her limbs in seemingly impossible ways. From landing on her neck to mid-air backflips before landing on her chest, every move kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

Sofia even tried to cover her eyes as the spectacle unfolded. The crowd and the judges, initially stunned, cheered and erupted into a standing ovation as Arshiya ended her performance.
The judges shared their remarks about Arshiya’s performance with Manel stating, “This is the scariest and most terrific dance recitals I have ever been to.”
Klum also praised Arshiya and said, “When you said you were going to leave and come back with a change, I thought you would return in a pretty dress, but what I saw was something else entirely.”
Simon added, “It was so unexpected and frightening and brilliant at the same time. Later, he remarked, “The chihuahua turned into a werewolf,” as all four judges promoted Arshiya to the next round.
Arshiya is not just a talented dancer but a national gold medalist in gymnastics. She has previously impressed with her stunning performances on dance reality shows like DID Little Masters and Super Dancer 4.
