HYDERABAD: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram on Sunday called upon people of the region to intensify the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme as the T movement has reached a decisive stage now.Speaking after flagging off Singareni Bus Yatra here, he said the TJAC was committed to continuing Sakala Janula Samme till they achieve the separate Telangana state. If the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre failed to take a decision on the T issue immediately, the present movement might turn violent and the Centre should only be held responsible for it, he warned. Kodandaram said there was no second thought among the constituents of TJAC on continuing the general strike. He alleged that a section the media was trying to cause a rift among the constituents of TJAC by making wild speculations on its future course of action to achieve separate T. The TJAC chairman said they would resist any attempts by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited to engage labourers on contract basis in coal mines. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government would have to face severe consequences if it failed to stop harassing Telangana activists taking part in Sakala Janula Samme. As an attempt to suppress the Telangana movement, the government deployed additional police forces in Telangana region.Sakala Janula Samme has become a people’s movement. No one can stop the Telangana movement and it will continue till a separate Telangana state is achieved,” the TJAC chairman said.
