Veerendra Kumar backs George

KOCHI: Defending Chief Whip P C George for his controversial letter related to the Palmolein case, Socialist Janata Democratic president M P Veerendra Kumar on Thursday said he fully supported George in the issue.“I have already extended my support to George. I have also told him about my stand,” he told ‘Express’.When asked about the comments that the controversial letter was unconstitutional, Veerendra Kumar said that everyone had the right to make comments. Moreover, he said that there was no need to make the issue a controversial one.In his controversial letter, George had  questioned the directive of the judge to order a probe into the alleged role of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the palmolein case.
